What began as a counter swap, quickly turned into a refacing, which then turned into nearly a full new kitchen. Why? We wanted to extend the kitchen further into the dining room. The original drawers left a lot to be desired (they are called 2/3 extenders which means they only come out about 2/3rds of the way, leaving a full 1/3 of the drawer in the cabinet). Plus, who doesn’t want a soft close drawer? 

Then a herring-bone backsplash. All the rage right now, and while labour intensive, visually stunning. 

The counters are Vicostone Gan Edan, an elegant choice in any kitchen.
