Farmhouse Update
This one was an old farm house with a pieced together kitchen. It was like three different sections of room had slowly folded together over the years to form the kitchen. The problem with a full kitchen renovation: sometimes with these old homes, you’re simply not sure what you’re getting into.
The choices for the counter: Quartz, Laminate, Corian, and Granite. All have their pros and cons, and for this particular kitchen, we decided a laminate would be best. They owner also decided to dress up behind the stove by making it a new raised breakfast bar.
They wanted a door that looked new, but fit the farm house appeal of the house. That would be the TR00 — a shaker style door with extra trim work around the panel. They choose a dark chocolate pear to complement the rest of the house (unfortunately, it doesn’t lend itself well for my pictures!)
Original Plate Rack
The original plate rack. They didn’t like the look so we’re placing new doors on it.
Raised Panels
The original raised panel doors. They’d been painted to give them another couple years of life.
